THE NAVESINK HOUSE
A Not-For-Profit
Continuing Care Retirement Community
Services and Lifestyles at The Navesink House go hand in hand.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE is the HEART of The Navesink House. Some residents enjoy continued employment while others participate in volunteer programs throughout the greater Red Bank area. Still others take part in programs right in their own community.
By becoming a resident, one becomes part of The Resident Council which functions through over 30 committees. Residents are encouraged to discuss concerns and communicate ideas through the committees. Staying active by serving on committees such as Endowment, Food Service, Library or Vespers, to mention just a few, is a very rewarding experience.
Activities abound on
a broad scale. Some of the grandest suggestions come from the residents.
Monthly Activity Calendars arrive at each door. Residents have time to select
whatever peaks their interests.
While a resident may choose to maintain a car, trips to the botanical gardens, theatres
and museums in the surrounding tri-state area are made convenient for residents via The
Navesink House Bus.
Weekly trips to the local supermarkets are also provided.
Special events are
celebrated throughout the year. The Monthly Birthday Club, sing-a-longs,
refreshments and live music provide the right mix for great times.
Newcomers get special treatment too, with a Welcoming Committee which is managed by the
residents themselves.
Later maturity is a period during which a sense of well-being results from satisfaction with life. We seek to provide an environment which fosters individual contentment and self-actualization.
A person's right to self-determination, privacy, dignity and choice of lifestyle is not affected by age. Changes in physical strength and health do not limit an individual's ability to experience different aspects of living. Therefore, services are offered which provide opportunities for intellectual, physical, spiritual, social and psychological satisfaction and growth.
These services are provided by caring people who recognize the dynamic needs of each resident. Our service community seeks innovative approaches which optimize the Resident's ability to meet the challenges of later maturity.
The Navesink House provides comprehensive services to that segment of the population which meet the admission criteria of The Navesink House. These services are provided in a manner consistent with the moral values and tradition reflected in our outgrowth from the American Baptist Churches.
