Personalized Care for Every Individual
In communities of approximately 70 to 100 residents Sunrise offers personalized care for each resident. Choice is essential. Residents choose every aspect of their care from when they wake up to what they eat and the activities they enjoy. We talk with residents, family and friends to get to know their likes, dislikes, daily schedules and hobbies, and from this information we create an individualized service plan that helps a resident become comfortable with his or her new home.

This innovative approach to senior care is designed to maintain independence and dignity, yet is balanced with the comfort and security that comes from knowing experienced help is close at hand.

Independence Is Encouraged
Independence is so often taken away from seniors in more traditional senior care environments. At Sunrise, we encourage residents to challenge themselves while offering the assistance they need. In this manner, residents are encouraged to maintain their independence for as long as possible.

Individual Yet Comprehensive Care Choices
Care at Sunrise supports each resident with individualized levels of service. This can include:

• Personal assistance with bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and medication monitoring.
• A wellness program of regular visits by the on-staff nurses.
• Monitoring of diet and exercise, adapting them to meet each resident's needs and desires.
• Housekeeping and linen services and personal laundry service.
• Recreational, educational, spiritual and social activities and assistance with transportation to shopping and community services.
• Regular community visits by health care professionals, which could include dentists, podiatrists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other clinicians.

Privacy Is Paramount
Residents maintain the same privacy in their new Sunrise home as they enjoyed in their own home. We interact frequently with residents, but are always respectful and never intrusive.

Help From Friends and Family
We encourage family and friends to be involved, to visit frequently, and to invite residents on outings to community events. The Willing Hearts Program encourages family volunteers to participate in the daily activities of our communities.

Our Team
Sunrise Team members are selected for their heart for service to seniors because senior care is truly a calling. Their professional skills are fine-tuned through Sunrise's intensive Five-Star Training Program. Specifically developed by Sunrise, the program teaches team members how to implement the Sunrise Principles of Service day-to-day. The program covers care basics, Alzheimer's care, communication skills, CPR and first aid certification, medication awareness and management skills.
